The Palace at Somerset Park: Kristen and Michael

There is something so special about early spring. The temperatures are still warming back up, flowers are starting to peek through the soil, and there’s a softness to the light. For a few weeks, it feels like the earth is slowly waking up again as each new day begins. With its quiet beauty, early spring weddings at The Palace at Somerset Park are some of our favorites—and today we’re so excited to introduce you to Kristen and Michael who celebrated their wedding day in early April.

Kristen and Michael counted down to their wedding ceremony while getting ready onsite at our venue. We loved having both the bride and the groom here as they enjoyed time with their bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family before experiencing such monumental moments later in the day. The first unforgettable time happened on the terrace as Kristen and Michael shared their first look. Between the setting, the views, and the natural light, this is one of our favorite locations at our property. And the terrace served as a perfect location for couple’s portraits too.

Next it was time for Kristen and Michael to officially become husband and wife during their ceremony. Because there was still a chill in the air, K and M chose to retreat inside the ballroom to recite their vows. This is always a great choice because the setting is beautiful and guests can feel comfortable knowing they’re protected from the elements. Unsurprisingly, Kristen and Michael planned a heartfelt ceremony that they loved as much as their guests.

While our team transformed the ballroom from the ceremony space into the reception space, guests sipped on drinks during cocktail hour. Kristen and Michael also used some of this time to step away once more and capture additional portraits outside during golden hour. The timing worked out perfectly!

As guests were welcomed back into the ballroom, the energy levels were high as they waited for Kristen and Michael to make their entrance as a married pair. When they did, everyone was thrilled, and they were treated to another fun moment as K and M shared their first dance, which looked like they were dancing in the clouds.

In between dance sets, everyone dined on a menu created by our team, listened to speeches, and looked on as Kristen and Michael shared dances with their parents. We love how Kristen danced with her mom! After cutting the cake, it was time for everyone to join on the dance floor once more as Elite Entertainment made sure the party continued until the very last song.

Kristen and Michael, we won’t think of early April without remembering your wonderful wedding day. Congratulations on a gorgeous celebration! We’re all so excited for all that’s ahead of both of you.
