Ashley and Brandon’s Light-Filled Late Summer Wedding

At the end of last summer, we had the joy of welcoming Ashley and Brandon to the Palace at Somerset Park, and we’re so excited to relive their beautiful wedding day with you! And that’s especially true because A and B had a few truly unique elements that other couples might want to incorporate into their celebrations.

Although many of our couples choose to have their ceremonies onsite in our indoor or outdoor locations, Ashley and Brandon had long dreamed of getting married in a church. So, they each spent their wedding mornings getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Ashley shared a first look with her bridesmaids in her suite, she and her dad shared another heartwarming first look (his expression is fantastic!), and then everyone departed for the ceremony.

Ashley walked down the aisle on the arm of her father where she met Brandon at the top. They exchanged their vows together, and officially became husband and wife. The setting looks so beautiful—the stained glass windows are our favorite. Once they were married and after photos were complete, Ashley and Brandon traveled to our venue where we were thrilled to welcome them.

Rather than attending all of their cocktail hour, Ashley and Brandon used this time to explore our property with their photographer. The gardens were beautiful on their wedding day, and they popped out onto our terrace too. Of course, their wedding party joined them for some of the photos! This worked out perfectly.

Inside the ballroom, the tables were ready to welcome A and B’s guests. Centerpieces consistent of simple groupings of greenery, which worked well because everyone’s eyes stayed trained on the dance floor for all of the fun action. Ashley and Brandon had a custom name logo, and they also had a fun marquee of their last name lit up in back of their dance floor—it was the perfect touch for photos! And we were especially excited about the artist that live painted a scene from their wedding dance floor.

Between their first dance, parent dances, and dancing with their friends and family, Ashley and Brandon spent as much time on the dance floor as possible. We loved watching this pair have such a memorable night together with their guests, and we think their details made their celebration look and feel just like them. Congratulations, Ashley and Brandon!
