Photos of signed soles on wedding day shoes have been popping up all over Pinterest recently. The trend has Turkish roots—traditionally the brides would ask all her single bridesmaids and female relatives to sign the soles of her shoes. At the end of the night, whoever’s signature was most faded would be the next to marry.
