Though Pantone named emerald the Color of the 2013, brides have been beguiled by a different shade of green: mint.  Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. April Kepner isn’t the only woman dreaming of a wedding that’s “mint to be!” Chocolate and mint is never the wrong choice. Sweet Avenue Bake Shop adds something extra—chocolate Bavarian cream filling. A menu printed in mint, how refreshing. British brand River Island will ship these sorbet-colored shoes (and any other pair that catches your fancy) straight to your doorstep. Going green has never looked so good. … Read more

The Palace at Somerset Park is a popular choice for many area companies to gather and celebrate milestones or set new goals. We aim to provide the most comfortable setting for an off-site event. Here are some photos we wanted to share. Highlights of the event included a festive cocktail hour and motivational speaker Frank Miles – who also is a juggler. Once again, our staff rose to the occasion to help a major company with a key event. A distributor of electrical and industrial products held a meeting at The Palace to set goals and establish best practices for working between different divisions and locations. Tying the Knot

There’s something about braids for a wedding hairstyle. This is the day you intertwine your life with someone else’s, the day the two of you tie the knot. Natalya Chepura, a freelance hair and make-up artist serving North and Central New Jersey, has constructed some of the most elaborate braided styles we’ve ever laid eyes on. See for yourself. Posted on March 1, 2013

This year is the year where weddings are all about glamour. Rich fabrics, gleaming metallic details, ornate lace gowns and formal receptions are back in style – in a big way. Laura and Kara of My Bellissima are in step with the glam revival. “The best thing about these two ladies,” says Linda (who planned her wedding with the pair), “is that they tell your story.” Last year rustic was popular. This year is different. Even couples planning outdoor weddings are stepping it up, with crystal table settings and gold silverware. Take a cue from the event the My Bellissima ladies designed for Linda. “I could not believe what I was seeing was our wedding,” she says. “They had accomplished exactly what we wanted—glam, romantic, just wow.” To achieve the over-the-top look Linda was after, My Bellissima used vivid purple … Read more
